本中心依據通識教育理念與內涵、校級基本素養及社會關注倫理議題,規劃完整的通識課程架構,採核心通識課程模式,包括人文、社會、自然、美學與藝術四大領域。
本中心訂有嚴謹的課程審查機制,除傳統的三級三審之外,各領域(類科)均設有課程審查小組,期使通識課程的教學設計除能確實符應本校通識教育目標與校級基本素養,並回應教師教學與學生學習的需求以外,尚能確保課程知識的承載度。為了積極掌握通識教育目標與課程規劃的具體成效,亦規劃多種雙向交流管道,以瞭解師生對通識教育的認同情形,作為通識教育持續改善的重要參考依據,進而發展通識課程品質保證機制。
Curriculum Planning
The center develops a comprehensive general education curriculum structure based on the principles and content of general education, university-level core competencies, and socially relevant ethical issues. The curriculum adopts a core general education model, including four major domains: Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, and Aesthetics & Arts.
The center has established a rigorous course review mechanism. In addition to the traditional three-tier review system, each domain (or discipline) has its own curriculum review committee. This system ensures that the general education courses meet the university’s educational objectives and core competencies, respond to teaching and learning needs, and maintain the depth of course content. To actively monitor the effectiveness of general education objectives and curriculum planning, various channels for two-way communication are planned to understand faculty and student perceptions of general education. This feedback serves as a key reference for ongoing improvements and the development of a quality assurance mechanism for general education courses.
